Prepping for NY

Well, I couldn’t resist another chance to visit the Big Apple.  The Spectrum New York show beckons, coming this October 3-6th, and it was incumbent on me to gear up for it a bit, despite agreeing to the show I had last week at the Westmount Gallery in Toronto, which went great.

The Spectrum show is being hosted by the folks who run the Art Expo New York one of the biggest art shows on earth.  This particular show is juried and much smaller in scale.  I hope the calibre is high so that the customers get their moneys worth.  I know I’m going there with some of my best work, and my pal David Adshade is going also.  He does some spectacular abstract pieces using metallic paint in some weird and wonderful ways…

Just one of the pieces I’m bringing, below, is entitled Baywatch.  It’s 40 x 60″ size, and I’m going to be featuring almost exclusively large works in this show, just a bit of a change for me.  I might toss some of my matted sketches in the truck, too…baywatch_40x60
