Talk about an easy show to do… the walls are all set up for us, as is the lighting. There is carpet everywhere, tons of free parking… and the calibre of the art is quite high this year.

I came back last night for the opening to find one of my paintings had won a Technical Merit Award, which was very nice considering I like to work in a distinctly loose and free-wheeling, for the most part, way. This was the painting, “Channel”, 24 x 36″… thanks Art Expo!

Hope to see lots of folks out today and tomorrow for the meat of the show! The fact that I’m nursing a cold does not much to deter me and hopefully I’ll be good company for you if you stop by.
