Nancy and I went out to see Paul McCartney last night at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa and what an excellent show it was. He played for almost 3 hours, and lit it up with songs like Live and Let Die, Band on the Run, Lady Madonna and some of the best songs of all time.
He’s the consummate musician, playing bass, lead guitar and ukelele and piano… he’s also known to be a superb drummer. On top of that he’s a great drummer and, oh, yes, can write songs pretty well. It was a really rousing concert and inspiring in that he’s an admirable chap who seems to represent the highest level of artistic achievement.
Earlier in the weekend great to have a visit from Paul and Alex from Toronto, who took home “Leaf Foliage 1” and checked out some of the sites of Ottawa. Hope they love the painting forever, and proof once again that I have the best, most astute buyers out there.
